About Mahindra Thar OG ZXT 2.2 Diesel MT 4WD
The Mahindra Thar OG is a three door, four seat off-road SUV. Mahindra launched it on 22 September 2026, and it takes over from the Thar that came in 2020. It sits on the new M_Glyde 4G platform. It gets new rear suspension with a Watts link, electric power steering and DAVINCI dampers. Prices start at ₹10.32 lakh and go up to ₹18.99 lakh ex-showroom. These are introductory prices for deliveries until 30 November 2026. There are three engines. A 1.5 litre diesel, a 2.2 litre diesel and a 2.0 litre turbo petrol. You can pick a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, and rear wheel drive or 4WD. The 4WD versions get an electronic locking differential and terrain modes. Ground clearance is 232 mm. The top ZXT trim gets six airbags, LED lights, 19 inch alloys and disc brakes on all four wheels.
