The Renault Triber now has a turbo petrol engine. Renault India launched the Triber 100PS on 28 September 2026, with prices from Rs 7.84 lakh to Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is still a seven-seater under 4 metres, but it now has a lot more power. It is also the first Renault in India built on the company's new RGEP platform.
If you were looking at the Triber but felt it was slow with a full load, this is the version made for you. Here is what it costs, how much mileage it gives and which variant makes the most sense.
Renault Triber Turbo price list (October 2026)
The turbo engine comes in three variants: Evolution, Techno and Emotion. The base Authentic variant does not get it.
| Variant | Energy 1.0 MT | Energy 1.0 AMT | Turbo TCe 100 MT |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentic | Rs 5,80,875 | - | - |
| Evolution | Rs 6,73,605 | - | Rs 7,84,900 |
| Techno | Rs 7,44,120 | - | Rs 8,53,900 |
| Emotion | Rs 8,05,350 | Rs 8,52,950 | Rs 8,99,900 |
All prices are ex-showroom, as reported at launch by Cars24 and ET Now from Renault's price list. The turbo costs roughly Rs 95,000 to Rs 1.1 lakh more than the same variant with the normal 1.0-litre Energy engine.
Triber Turbo engine and power
The new engine is called TCe 100. It is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol. Here are the main numbers from Renault's brochure.
| Spec | Energy 1.0 (normal) | Turbo TCe 100 |
|---|---|---|
| Power | 72 PS at 6,250 rpm | 100 PS at 5,000 rpm |
| Torque | 96 Nm at 3,500 rpm | 180 Nm at 2,000 to 3,750 rpm |
| Gearbox | 5-speed manual or AMT | 5-speed manual only |
| Fuel tank | 40 litres | 40 litres |
| 0 to 100 km/h | Not given | Under 10.8 seconds (Renault claim) |
The jump in torque is the big story. 180 Nm is almost double the 96 Nm of the normal engine. Renault calls it segment-leading. In simple words, the car should feel much easier to drive with seven people and luggage on board, and it should overtake on highways with less effort.
There is no automatic with the turbo engine for now. Reports say an automatic version may come later, but Renault has not given a date.
Triber Turbo mileage
The Triber 100PS has a certified fuel efficiency of 21 kmpl. This is the figure tested under the central motor vehicle rules, as shown in Renault's brochure. Real mileage will be lower in city traffic and with a full load, as with every car.
Renault says a new engine management system and a brushless (BLDC) cooling fan help it save fuel. The BLDC fan is a part you usually see on hybrid and electric cars. It cools the engine more exactly, so less energy is wasted.
What else changed apart from the engine
Renault says this is more than an engine swap. The turbo Triber gets:
- The new RGEP (Renault Group Entry Platform) base
- Changed suspension setup with anti-roll bars at the front and rear
- New dampers and retuned brakes
- Extra body strength to cut body roll
- 21 standard safety features, as per the brochure
- Auto AC on the top Emotion variant
The things people liked about the Triber stay the same. It still has seats that can be set up for five, six or seven people. With the third row taken out, the boot is 625 litres. The third row seats can be folded and tumbled with one touch.
Approximate on-road price in Delhi, Lucknow and Mumbai
The table below adds only state road tax to the ex-showroom price. Insurance, registration and other charges are extra, so the real on-road price will be higher. Use it as a rough guide only.
| Variant | Delhi (7% tax) | Lucknow (9% tax) | Mumbai (11% tax) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Evolution Turbo | about Rs 8.40 lakh | about Rs 8.56 lakh | about Rs 8.71 lakh |
| Techno Turbo | about Rs 9.14 lakh | about Rs 9.31 lakh | about Rs 9.48 lakh |
| Emotion Turbo | about Rs 9.63 lakh | about Rs 9.81 lakh | about Rs 9.99 lakh |

Which Triber Turbo variant should you buy?
Evolution Turbo (Rs 7.84 lakh): This is the cheapest way to get the turbo engine. Pick it if power matters more to you than features.
Techno Turbo (Rs 8.54 lakh): This sits in the middle and should suit most families. You get more features without paying top-model money.
Emotion Turbo (Rs 8.99 lakh): This is the top model and the one that gets auto AC. Buy it if you want the most features under Rs 9 lakh ex-showroom.
If you need an automatic, the turbo is not for you yet. The only automatic Triber is the Emotion Energy AMT at Rs 8.53 lakh, with the normal engine.
Should you pick the turbo or the normal Triber?
Pick the turbo if you often drive on highways, travel with a full car or live in a hilly area. The extra torque will make a clear difference.
Stay with the normal Energy engine if you mostly drive alone in the city and want the lowest price. It costs around Rs 1 lakh less for the same variant, and it is the only way to get an automatic.
Our take
The Triber always had space and a low price. What it lacked was power. The TCe 100 engine fixes that. At under Rs 9 lakh ex-showroom for the top model, it is one of the cheapest turbo petrol seven-seaters you can buy. The missing automatic is the only real gap, and we will update this page when Renault adds one.
