The new prices came out over the past few days, between 16 and 20 October 2026. CarWale and HT Auto were the first to report them. Maruti has not put out a press note for this round. So the numbers below come from these reports and from price lists on CarDekho. Please check the final price with your dealer before you book.

Ertiga: only the top variant costs more

The Ertiga is one of India's most popular 7-seat family cars. This time, only its top ZXi+ variant is hit. Both the ZXi+ manual and the ZXi+ automatic now cost ₹10,000 more. CarWale says all other variants keep their old prices.

Ertiga variant Old price New price Change
ZXi+ petrol manual ₹11.69 lakh ₹11.79 lakh Up ₹10,000
ZXi+ petrol automatic ₹13.04 lakh ₹13.14 lakh Up ₹10,000
LXi, VXi, ZXi and CNG Same Same No change

With this, the Ertiga now costs ₹8.90 lakh to ₹13.14 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. It uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a mild hybrid system. You can pick a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. A CNG version is also on sale.

XL6: four Alpha+ versions go up

The XL6 is the more premium cousin of the Ertiga. It has six seats, with two captain chairs in the middle row. It is sold at Nexa showrooms. It uses the same 1.5-litre engine as the Ertiga.

Here, the hike hits the top Alpha+ trim. Four versions are now ₹10,000 dearer. These are the manual and the automatic, each in single-tone and dual-tone paint. HT Auto says only these four versions have changed. The Zeta and Alpha trims stay where they were.

XL6 variant Old price New price
Alpha+ manual ₹13.07 lakh ₹13.17 lakh
Alpha+ manual dual-tone ₹13.22 lakh ₹13.32 lakh
Alpha+ automatic ₹14.42 lakh ₹14.52 lakh
Alpha+ automatic dual-tone ₹14.57 lakh ₹14.67 lakh

The XL6 now costs ₹11.62 lakh to ₹14.67 lakh (ex-showroom). Not sure which of the two MPVs suits you? Read our Ertiga vs XL6 comparison.

Fronx: up to ₹5,000 more

The Fronx got its hike a few days earlier. CarWale reported it on 16 October. The base Sigma now costs ₹5,000 more, in both petrol and CNG form. So do the Zeta, Alpha and all the turbo-petrol versions.

There is good news for Delta and Delta+ buyers. These mid variants keep their old prices. CarDekho lists the Delta+ as one of the top-selling versions.

Fronx variant New price Change
Sigma petrol manual ₹6.90 lakh Up ₹5,000
Sigma CNG ₹7.94 lakh Up ₹5,000
Delta petrol manual ₹7.75 lakh No change

Why are Maruti cars getting costlier?

This is not the first price rise this year. On 21 July 2026, Maruti told the stock exchanges that it would raise prices by up to ₹30,000 from August. It said its input costs kept going up. Input costs are what a carmaker pays for steel, parts and other things it needs.

In that August round, the Ertiga, XL6 and Fronx went up by up to ₹7,500 each, as per Carhp. Now they have gone up again. The XL6 also got a small hike in early July, says CarWale. That makes three rises for the XL6 in about four months.

CarWale and HT Auto say more Maruti models are on this October list. These include the Jimny, Invicto and Victoris. Their new prices were not out when we wrote this story.

What it means for you

₹10,000 is less than 1 percent of the price of a top Ertiga or XL6. On a 5-year car loan at 9.5 percent, it adds about ₹210 to your monthly EMI. That is our own maths. Road tax in most states is a share of the car's price. So your on-road price may go up by a bit more than ₹10,000.

If you want a top Ertiga or XL6, ask your dealer about festive offers. A good deal can cover this hike and more. You can see what brands are giving this season in our festive car offers list. If you have already booked, ask the dealer which price applies to you. And if a Fronx Delta or Delta+ is on your list, nothing changes.

Our take

These are small hikes. On the Ertiga and XL6, Maruti has kept them to the top variants. Base buyers of these two MPVs are not hit at all. Still, small hikes add up over a year. So it pays to watch for offers before you book.

The XL6 is also due for a new look. Reports say a facelift could be shown at the Bharat Mobility Expo in early 2027. Maruti has not confirmed this, so treat it as expected for now.
