Bajaj has launched the new Pulsar N250SS in India today, 21 October 2026. It is priced at ₹1,59,406, ex-showroom Delhi. That is about ₹14,000 more than the regular Pulsar N250. The SS is now the top Pulsar N250 you can buy.

The bike looks like the N250 you know. The big changes are inside. It gets a new 4-valve engine, a 6-speed gearbox and a colour TFT screen with Google Maps. Bajaj gave the smaller N160 the same SS treatment earlier this year.

Bajaj Pulsar N250SS price

Model Ex-showroom price (Delhi)
Pulsar N250SS (new) ₹1,59,406
Pulsar N250 ₹1,45,270
Difference ₹14,136

The on-road price will be higher. It changes from city to city with road tax and insurance. Bookings and deliveries should start at Bajaj dealers soon. Bajaj has not shared a delivery date yet.

New 4-valve engine and 6-speed gearbox

The engine is still a 249cc single cylinder. It is air and oil cooled. But it now has four valves instead of two. Power goes up to about 25 hp (24.6 bhp) and torque to 22 Nm. The regular N250 makes 24.1 bhp and 21.5 Nm. So the gain is small on paper.

The bigger change is the gearbox. The old 5-speed is gone. A 6-speed unit takes its place. This should help on the highway, with lower revs at speed. A quickshifter comes as standard too. It lets you shift up without the clutch.

There is also an electronic throttle now. This brings riding modes to the bike. Bajaj has not yet shared the names of the modes or how they change the ride.

New TFT screen and features

The LCD of the N250 is replaced by a 5-inch colour TFT. It can show Google Maps through your phone. This is a big plus for daily riders who use maps. The bike also gets adjustable brake and clutch levers. A USB Type-C port, a hazard light switch and panic brake alert are new as well. Panic brake alert flashes the lights when you brake hard.

Price vs rivals

At ₹1.59 lakh, the N250SS costs much less than most rivals. The Suzuki Gixxer 250 is about ₹1.85 lakh. The new Hero Xtreme 250R Carbon is about ₹1.98 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom, as listed by Autocar India.

Should you buy the N250SS?

If you ride on the highway a lot, the SS makes sense. The 6-speed gearbox and quickshifter are worth the extra ₹14,000. The TFT with maps is a good daily feature too. If you mostly ride in the city and want to save money, the regular N250 still does the job well. We will update this story with colours and the full spec sheet when Bajaj shares them.
