Maruti Suzuki has launched the Victoris Aurum Edition to mark one year of the Victoris in India. It is not a new variant. It is a style kit for the Victoris Strong Hybrid, and it costs Rs 22,990. Here is what you get, what the car costs with it, and who should buy it.
What is the Victoris Aurum Edition?
Aurum is the Latin word for gold. Maruti chose the name because the Victoris had a golden first year in sales. The company launched the edition on 24 October 2026. Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is the face of its new ad film.
The Aurum Edition is only for the Strong Hybrid. You cannot get it with the petrol, CNG or AllGrip AWD versions. The engine, gearbox and features stay the same. The kit only changes the look, inside and out.
Victoris Aurum Edition price
Maruti has set the kit price at Rs 22,990. You pay this on top of the price of your Victoris Strong Hybrid. The strong hybrid costs Rs 16.43 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh, ex-showroom. This is the latest price list, as reported after a small hike in August 2026.
So the Aurum look will cost about Rs 16.66 lakh to Rs 20.22 lakh, ex-showroom. This is our own sum of the car price and the kit price. Fitting charges, if any, and the final on-road price will depend on your city and dealer.
| Strong Hybrid variant | Ex-showroom price (reported) | With Aurum kit (our sum) |
|---|---|---|
| VXi | Rs 16.43 lakh | About Rs 16.66 lakh |
| ZXi | Rs 17.85 lakh | About Rs 18.08 lakh |
| ZXi (O) | Rs 18.44 lakh | About Rs 18.67 lakh |
| ZXi Plus | Rs 19.52 lakh | About Rs 19.75 lakh |
| ZXi Plus (O) | Rs 19.99 lakh | About Rs 20.22 lakh |
Reports say the kit can be fitted to the strong hybrid variants. Still, ask your dealer to confirm which variant you can get it on. You can see all prices on our Maruti Victoris price page.
What do you get in the Aurum Edition kit?
Maruti has shared the full list in its press note. Here is everything the kit adds.
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
| Copper inserts on skid plates | Copper colour inserts on the front, side and rear skid plate designs |
| Copper inserts on wheel arches | Copper colour inserts around the wheel arches |
| Chrome garnish | New chrome parts for the front grille, fenders, bumpers, body side mouldings and door visors |
| 3D cabin mats | All weather 3D floor mats for the cabin |
| 3D boot mat | A moulded mat for the boot |
| Rear trunk sill guard | A guard on the boot edge to stop scratches |
In the ad film, the car is a dark shade. The copper lines on the lower body stand out well against it. The film also shows copper edges on the HYBRID badge. Maruti's parts list does not name this badge, so check it with your dealer.
Does the Aurum Edition get more power or features?
No. Under the skin it is the same Victoris Strong Hybrid. It uses a 1.5 litre, 3 cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor and a battery pack. Maruti lists the engine at 92.45 PS and 122 Nm. Total power with the motor is about 116 PS, as reported. An e-CVT automatic sends power to the front wheels.
Maruti claims 28.65 km per litre for the strong hybrid. That is the best figure of any Victoris. The car also has an EV mode, where it can run on electric power alone. You also get Eco, Normal and Power drive modes.
| Spec | Victoris Strong Hybrid (Aurum or regular) |
|---|---|
| Engine | 1.5 litre, 3 cylinder petrol plus electric motor |
| Engine power and torque | 92.45 PS (68 kW) and 122 Nm |
| Total power | About 116 PS (reported) |
| Gearbox | e-CVT automatic, front wheel drive |
| Claimed mileage | 28.65 km/l |
| Airbags | 6, standard |
| Price | Rs 16.43 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh ex-showroom (reported), plus Rs 22,990 for the kit |
Features depend on the variant you pick. Higher variants get a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and a 360 degree camera. They also get Dolby Atmos sound with Infinity speakers, a powered tailgate with gesture control and Level 2 ADAS. Six airbags are standard on every Victoris.

Why did Maruti launch the Aurum Edition now?
The Victoris came to India in September 2025. Maruti says it set a record for the highest sales by any new car in its first year. It also became the fastest passenger vehicle in India to cross 1 lakh and then 1.5 lakh sales. Maruti says JATO Dynamics has certified these claims. We covered an early milestone when the Victoris crossed 50,000 sales.
The SUV also won the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2026 award. With the festive season on, a special look is an easy way to keep buyers coming in. Rivals are getting stronger too. Renault has just brought a strong hybrid to the Renault Duster. Hyundai's new Bayon is also coming in. Victoris Aurum Edition vs regular Victoris: should you buy it?
Think of the Aurum Edition as a dress up kit. It does not make the car faster, safer or more fuel efficient. What it does is make your Victoris look different from the many others on the road. With over 1.5 lakh sold, that matters to some buyers.
The 3D cabin mats, boot mat and sill guard are things many owners buy anyway. If you were going to buy them, the kit makes good sense. You get the copper and chrome look too. If you do not like chrome, skip it and keep the money.
Our view is simple. Want the best mileage and a smooth automatic? Then the strong hybrid is the Victoris to buy. The Aurum kit is a nice extra on top. If your budget is tight, the petrol and CNG versions start much lower, from Rs 10.49 lakh ex-showroom. Need AWD? See our Victoris AWD real mileage test.
