The XUV 3XO comes in 11 trims, three engines and three gearbox types, which adds up to 27 petrol and diesel versions. With so many choices, picking the right one is harder than it should be. This guide explains what each trim adds and where the best value is. For the full model overview, see our Mahindra XUV 3XO complete guide.

Two families: MX/AX and REVX

The MX and AX trims are the core line-up, running from the basic MX1 to the fully loaded AX7 L. The REVX trims have their own styling, with a dual-tone roof, body-coloured grille and black wheel covers on the EDGE, and they pack in a lot of equipment for the price. The September 2026 update moved the REVX range to the 1.2 turbo-petrol and the 1.5 diesel. The REVX A still uses the 131 hp TGDi.

Trim-by-trim walkthrough

MX1 (Rs 7.79 lakh): the safety-first base model

The MX1 is petrol manual only. It already has six airbags, ESC, disc brakes on all four wheels and a 60:40 split rear seat, so it is safe and practical even if the equipment list is short.

REVX M and REVX M(O) (Rs 8.59-9.99 lakh)

These add REVX styling and more convenience features. Since September 2026 the REVX M(O) also comes with a petrol torque-converter automatic at Rs 9.99 lakh. That makes it the cheapest automatic XUV 3XO.

MX2 (Rs 9.36 lakh): the cheapest diesel

If you drive long distances and are on a tight budget, the MX2 diesel manual is the most affordable way into the 300 Nm diesel.

REVX EDGE (Rs 9.39-10.59 lakh)

For many buyers this is the sweet spot. It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear camera, cruise control, rear AC vents, a rear armrest, leatherette seats and a height-adjustable driver's seat.

REVX EDGE (O) (Rs 9.89-11.91 lakh)

For Rs 50,000 more than the EDGE you get a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, electrically folding mirrors, keyless entry, push-button start and auto headlamps and wipers. It is also offered with a diesel AMT.

AX5 (Rs 10.30-12.20 lakh)

The AX5 is a well-equipped mid trim, available with petrol MT/AT and diesel MT/AMT. It suits buyers who want an automatic with either engine.

REVX A, AX5 L and AX7 (Rs 11.28-13.79 lakh)

These trims bring in the 131 hp TGDi petrol, which is the engine to choose if you enjoy driving. The AX7 also comes with the diesel.

AX7 L (Rs 13.32-15.04 lakh): fully loaded

The AX7 L has Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, twin 10.25-inch screens and 17-inch alloys.

Variants to skip

The MX1 is fine if price is all that matters, but stretching to the REVX EDGE gets you a touchscreen and a rear camera that are hard to live without. Likewise, unless you need ADAS, the AX7 L costs a lot more than the AX7 or AX5 L.
