The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a common choice for buyers who want a reliable, easy-to-own family SUV. The XUV 3XO offers more performance, a diesel option and plenty of features. Here is how the two compare. Our XUV 3XO complete guide has the full Mahindra picture.

Engines

  XUV 3XO Maruti Brezza
Petrol 1.2 turbo 111 hp/200 Nm; 1.2 TGDi 131 hp/230 Nm 1.5 NA 103 PS/139 Nm; 1.0 turbo 110 PS/170 Nm

Brezza figures are from CarDekho's report on the 2026 Brezza facelift.

The 3XO is clearly quicker. The Brezza's naturally aspirated 1.5 feels relaxed and smooth instead of punchy. The Brezza's newer 1.0 turbo closes some of the gap, but it is offered with a manual only.

You want ADAS and more features at the top You want factory CNG today
A bigger boot and rear seat matter You want a bigger fuel tank and a taller stance

Driving experience

The two cars feel very different. The Brezza's 1.5 four-cylinder petrol is linear and quiet, and it suits relaxed driving and older family members who don't want a turbo's surge. The 3XO's turbo engines deliver strong torque from low revs (200-230 Nm from 1,500 rpm on the petrols), so overtakes take less effort, especially with a full load.

Features

At the top of the range, the 3XO offers twin 10.25-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS. The Brezza's facelift brought it up to date with six airbags as standard. Before you decide, compare the exact variants you are considering, because features change from one trim to the next.

Resale and reliability

Maruti cars usually hold their value well thanks to strong demand and low-cost parts. The XUV 3XO is selling well too (10,823 units in September 2026, up 19.8%), which supports its resale value. For either car, a full service history is the best way to protect resale value.
